Ajit Singh
Chairman
Ajit Singh earned his graduation degree from Cambridge University, UK, and post-graduation degree from Harvard Business School, USA. He currently resides in Mumbai, India, and travels widely to study pharmaceutical and allied industries.
Ajit is the Chairman of the ACG Group (formerly known as the Associated Capsules Group of Companies), which is headquartered in Mumbai. He has played a prominent role in the development of the pharmaceutical and allied industries in India and has served as an executive committee member of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), a regional council member of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Western Region, and other prominent pharmaceutical associations in India. He has also been conferred with prestigious awards for his contributions and thoughtful leadership to the pharmaceutical industry.
Ajit was a founder-member of the Young Presidents’ Organization – India Chapter and the first Indian to be invited to serve on its international board in the USA.

JASJIT SINGH
Vice Chairman
Jasjit Singh is Vice Chairman at ACG, who along with Ajit Singh, started the Associated Capsules Group in Mumbai in the early 60s. Jasjit Singh has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from London University.
Jasjit has always been interested in technology, particularly relating to machine design. He spends a considerable amount of time at the Group R & D Center, working with a young team of engineers to design new machines, build prototypes and develop new processes. This provides him with a creative outlet and is the foundation on which new businesses have been built.
Jasjit has dozens of patents to his credit. Under his leadership the ACG Group has received innumerable awards worldwide for technology, excellence and social welfare. His other interests include ‘self’ education, reading, music, collecting rare works of arts and helping young contemporary artists, cooking and travelling to different parts of the world, especially with his family.
Jasjit has been actively involved with starting new Forums of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) [8 in all, including 3 Spouses Forums]. He served as the Chairman of the Mumbai Chapter and helped found the Kolkata Chapter before becoming a WPOer (World Presidents’ Organization), where he served as one of their founding Presidents.
Jasjit has received the Vijay Ratna Award for leadership in Industry and Recognition from UNIDO for his contribution to the fields of Pharmaceutical Technology and Environmental Science.

Karan Singh
Managing Director
Karan Singh is the Managing Director of ACG Group. He has had a multi-faceted career spanning operations and project management, product development, sales and marketing, and strategic planning.
One of the first major projects he led was the implementation of an ERP solution and SRM to streamline processes and improve efficiencies across the group. In tandem, Karan spearheaded cutting-edge initiatives to drive innovation in pharmaceutical manufacturing, including the use of augmented reality, IoT, and continuous manufacturing processes. He was also instrumental in the development of vegetarian capsules in 2012.
Karan’s vision led to the formation of ACG Inspection Systems, marking the company’s foray into the growing camera inspection and serialization industry. This was followed by the creation of ACG ValueLinks, which brings the world’s best technologies to India for the benefit of our customers.
Karan is strategically involved in all ACG Group businesses and focuses on developing the vision and long-term strategy for growth and market penetration in key markets across the globe.
He takes a keen interest in innovation and new product development along with mergers and acquisitions, collaborations, and partnerships with global companies.
Karan kick-started the ACG NBA Jump program - the first-ever talent hunt for basketball in India - by forming a collaboration between ACG Cares Foundation and the NBA (National Basketball Association).

Dr Marcus Michel
CEO, Engineering
Marcus Michel is the CEO of ACG Engineering. He is responsible for continuing to drive ACG’s focus on the global pharmaceutical industry, innovative technologies, Business Excellence, and Institution Building. Marcus has more than 25 years of global experience. His experience includes decades of design, project execution, strategic development and operational excellence in Mechanical, Process and Plant engineering for the pharmaceutical, chemical and allied industries. His international career is characterized by strong geographical mobility, particularly in Europe, APAC, North America and Latin America contributing to his ability to adapt and succeed with an impressive track record in different cultures.
Marcus is Chemical Engineer by education. He received a PhD in Engineering from the Technical University Clausthal Germany and an Executive MBA from London Business School.

Selwyn Noronha
CEO, Capsules
Selwyn Noronha leads the ACG Capsules business and is responsible for ensuring that ACG becomes a preferred partner for global pharmaceutical customers. In his role, Selwyn is responsible for boosting new businesses, increasing market share, brand building, and driving organizational change with the core ACG values.
He is responsible for building the organization, developing his team, and setting comprehensive goals for performance and growth. Selwyn also participates in acquisitions and corporate alliances. Further, he ensures that new products, services, and innovations are developed and nurtured to ensure parity or differentiation with competition.

SR Shivshankar
CEO, Films & Foils
SR Shivshankar leads the ACG Films and Foils business and is responsible for driving the business in terms of top-line revenues and bottom-line results. He has the innate ability to transform business strategies into profits. Shivshankar has rich experience in project management, spanning conceptualization, execution, profit improvement, and quality enhancement initiatives. He is driven to convert strategic planning into concrete, executable, action-oriented processes and to create a performance-centric work culture. He is also responsible for driving the business strategies of the company in line with its vision to become a preferred global supplier of primary barrier packaging material to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Under his leadership, ACG Films & Foils has endeavored to maintain high quality standards in its manufacturing and packaging processes.

Udit Singh
CEO, ACG Inspection
Udit Singh will be heading ACG Inspections. Mr. Singh comes with diverse and unique capabilities with deep understanding of the pharmaceutical sector. He will be supporting the company as it continues its growth and global expansion. He will be responsible for ensuring that every dose of medication that ACG Inspection’s pharmaceutical and nutraceutical partners provide is manufactured and delivered exactly as intended. That is down to the fact that ACG visual inspection systems track and monitor the manufacturing lines to guarantee flawless, safe products.

Sunil Jha
Chief Human Resource Officer
Sunil Jha leads the Group HR function, which includes improving the overall efficiency of human resource processes and straddling both the strategic and operational aspects of the role to bring about a positive business impact. During his tenure with ACG, he has successfully conceptualized and implemented several transformative institution-building Organizational Development interventions. These interventions have helped to create basic HR processes that partner businesses in their strategy formulation, re-engineer business processes, and enhance the professional lives of the staff. These interventions are significant, since they were created in partnership with businesses; thus, they bring about business-centric outcomes and greater ownership of these outcomes by the staff. Sunil feels a deep sense of fulfilment in mentoring the HR teams and business leaders to achieve their career potential.
Another area he is passionate about is social impact. Sunil is responsible for nurturing the ACG Cares Foundation, the CSR arm of ACG. His career philosophy can be summarized in three words – “Love, Lead, and Leave a legacy.”

Alexander Robertson
Chief Marketing Officer
Alex Robertson is a marketing and brand specialist. He has more than two decades of experience across the spectrum of thru-line marketing, communications, advertising and its many allied disciplines. He has worked for both B2B and B2C multinationals, in developed and developing markets, having lived in four continents and seven cities.
Alex believes in "building brands that are as human as the people that they serve, because business has a responsibility, perhaps now more than ever... to genuinely make the world a better place. It's not altruistic, just good business and human common sense."

Nitin K Desai
Chief Commercial Officer
Nitin K Desai is responsible for the commercial function, which covers strategic sourcing, logistics and warehousing, greenfield projects, mergers and acquisitions, and legal support for the entire group.
Nitin leads a team that is focused on procuring all critical raw materials and capital equipment for the entire group. He ensures that the group complies with all laws and that all risks are adequately addressed.

Werner Bongers
CEO Vice President, SciTech Center
Werner leads an international global network of engineers to develop and bring new products to market for solving customer demands and challenges. This encompasses best practice design methodology, CAE, Industrial design, new materials, new innovations and technologies as well as adherence to FDA and local legislation. Werner is also responsible for SciTech Global project which are not currently targeted to a platform but rather set the tone for industry and technology trends in the future.
